posted by alfhi syahrin

Myocarditis is an inflammation of heart muscle / infarction. Can be caused by various infections, in Indonesia, mainly due to acute Rheumatic diseases and viral infections coxsaki.

virus, diphtheria, measles, influenza, poliollliolitis. Besides the causes above, myocarditis dapal also be caused by various bacteria, ricttsia, fungi and parasites. This disease can attack all ages. The actual incidence is difficult to determine because most patients recover spontaneously.

Post-mortem diagnosis of myocarditis is based on the existence of areas with focal or diffuse inflammation and was found to be 40-10% of post-mortem examination.

myocarditis is often accompanied by inflammation perikard called mioperikarditis.

Symptoms

Often the symptoms are not obvious, such as ECG abnormalities takhikardia cursory and

rarely give heart enlargement, gallop rhythm or heart trouble. Acute myocarditis by trauma often have symptoms:

1. Takhikardia, if it occurs penigkatan temperature due to infection of the pulse frequency will be

higher than the frequency corresponding to the temperature of that body.

2. The heart may enlarge rapidly, this situation should be distinguished

heart enlargement due to pericarditis.

Three. Weak heart sounds due to the decreasing power of heart muscle contraction.

Mitralis valves and trikuspidalis can not close properly.

4. Gallop rhythm can be heard.

5. Usually found supravcntrikulwr and ventricular rhythm disturbances.

6.payah right heart, is caused by right ventricular myocardial olot thinner than the left ventricle.

Diagnostic

Need suspected myocarditis on any infectious disease that discrtai with takhicardia, gallop rhythm, heart enlargement, especially right heart enlargement. If in such cases are not found in cardiac diseases such as congenital heart disease, heart valve disease, heart disease, hypertension, coronary heart disease and other lain.harus considered the existence of a myocarditis.

It is hard to distinguish with congestive cardiomyopathy but Echokardiografi examination can help distinguish it. Myocarditis due to inflammation can be diagnosed by ECG, histological examination and imunoflusense eleklronmikroskop

Prognosis

Most patients recover with a spout, but sometimes becomes chronic in most cases, and some patients died during the illness is still acute.

Acute myocarditis causing sudden death is not uncommon at young ages.
